African Bloodstone

Africa Bloodstone Affirmation: I am guided by my inner strength.

Bloodstone, also known as Heliotrope, is a stone of courage, strength and endurance, and its energy works to help us weather storms, either from inside or outside of us. It's also a stone of purification and detoxication which is said to help cleanse the blood and help our detoxing organs.

It's a type of green chalcedony with red inclusions of Red Jasper or Hematite.

The name Bloodstone comes from the red inclusions looking like blood spots on the stone. Christian legend says that the red spots are from Christ's blood dripping on the stone when he was crucified.

Bloodstone activates our inner strength, willpower, and courage that has been masked by fear. This crystal is a purifier of our negative energies and aids to convert these thoughts and feelings into positive ones. Bloodstone helps break the mold of our endless monotonous cycles by helping us aspirate to who we truly want to be. This crystal is a reminder that the only judge of our thoughts and actions should be no one other than ourselves. The direction you choose to go in this life will only be decided by you. Heliotrope provides us with the necessary confidence and fortitude to move past hard times and see the growth ahead.
